Zoho have added a new email application to the application suite. In Online office applications with Zoho I looked at the offerings of Zoho. The email addition has been in private beta until now.
Zoho Mail has the standard look and feel features of most email applications including:
- Folder and Label support
- view emails in a serial list or by conversation
- chat integration
- offline support
Like Zoho Writer, Zoho Mail uses Google gears to allow you to read your email offline. After the initial configuration you can view all your emails offline. You cannot, however, compose new emails while offline.
Zoho Mail can be used to collect email from any Post Office Protocol(POP) account.
Zoho have also introduced support for mobile email as well, supporting IPhone and more.

The Zoho Mail application is integrated into the business package, and free for small businesses of less than ten users and individuals.
What is really interesting to me in the Zoho offline capability is that they are relying on Google software. Google Apps and other Saas vendors will need to start introducing offline view and edit capabilities if they really want to woo the business and home users away from their traditional software.
