The weeks are already flying by. This year I have decided to go back and study another degree at University. That is already taking a lot of my time and will only get more. I am excited about doing this and look forward to the end goal. It will take a few years.

In the mean time I will still be covering all the relevant activities in the sphere of virtualization, terminal services, Windows Server 2008 and cloud computing.

This week Symantec announced the future of Altiris SVS (Symantec Virtualization Solution). The next version will be rebranded to Symantec Workspace Virtualization (SWV) 6.1. In a similar line to the existing SVS it will provide:

• easier application testing
• provisioning
• management
• make support easier and cheaper

The new version will also add some new capability from another Symantec purchase.

The current version does not support 64 bit yet, but is slanted for a later release.

When I started this blog I knew nothing of wordpress or php. Since then I have learnt quite a bit. It is time to change the general look and feel of the site.

So I will be developing my own theme. What appeals to you? Are you attracted to particular colors? let me know what you think.
